The world says, “Hustle 24/7” but our Creator says “Hustle 24/6.” Commandment #4 of the Ten Commandments tells us to “Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy,” and we take that pretty seriously around here…

In a world full of people who are constantly in a “go, go, go” mindset, obeying the instruction to observe the Sabbath day has become a tremendous blessing to our family. Every Saturday, we choose to rest – to take the day off from our normal workday and tend to the most important vocation in our lives as believers – our relationship with the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

And the other 6 days of the week, we return to the daily grind – as we are also commanded to do:

“You are to labor six days and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. You must not do any work — you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the foreigner who is within your gates. For the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.” (Exodus 20:8-11)
